Who We Are
NorthPoint started in our own home — with curiosity, a lot of testing, and a need to make everyday life easier.
We are a husband-and-wife team who got into smart home technology because we actually use it ourselves. Over time, we added smart locks, cameras, sensors, lighting, leak protection, and automations throughout our home. Some things worked great. Some things were frustrating. And some things only worked once we figured out how to make everything connect properly.
The idea for NorthPoint really came to life after we helped design and install smart home systems for our family — including our home and his parents’ lake cabin. Seeing how much peace of mind those systems brought, especially for things like security, water leak protection, and being able to check in from anywhere, made us realize how helpful this could be for other homeowners too.
That Hands-on experience showed us something important:
